Data science is a relatively new field with relatively few universally agreed upon definitive certifications. There can be doubt about when it is appropriate to add this title to your resume.

Several organizations have attempted to place a clear designation with credentials in regard to being a “data scientist.”

Whatever your association, if you gain and practice a certain number of skills, and more convincingly if you get hired for the right position, you can feel certain that placing the title on your resume is not a mistake. So what does it take? The answer is as varied and multidisciplinary as the field itself:
