Part Three

I often say that people sleepwalk through the Excel worksheets that they are given at their job. They don’t ever question why or how it was created, they just do with it what they were told or can infer from other people.

This is inherently wrong. However you can stand out from your competition by not doing that.

Excel is an amazing tool, yet may folks don’t dig deep into how to actually use it to improve the utility of the data it contains. If you come up with new and original ideas for your data based on Excel capabilities then at the very least you will feel empowered. At most, you will outwardly empowered by your subordinates, peers and superiors as you gain street cred for your mad Excel skills.

During Part One, I discussed formulas, functions, macros and other things that can make you a super powered user.

During Part Two, I discussed creating basic charts. This is a high-demand skill and helps your data audience quickly grasp what you want to communicate.
